What is "SOS" exactly?

With our Sequiserve Online System (SOS) you are provided with a quick and easy way to send us your sequencing orders as well as additional data, e.g. reference sequences, online. You will receive an order confirmation and as soon as your sequences are finished we will send a message that your data are available for downloading from your personal account. Of course, your data security during transfers is guaranteed through a Secure Socket Layer (SSL-) based connection.

How do I get a personal account?

You register in our system by entering your personal details. You will receive an activation link and a preliminary password to activate your account. After this you have to choose and enter your own personal password. Please remember to distinguish between capital and small letters.

My personal account

Your personal account contains the following sections:

1. My details: In this section you can view and change your personal registration details

2. Orders: In this section you can post new orders and review data of earlier ones. You can also use earlier orders to create new ones by editing only changes and keep redundancies. If you want more than one sample sequenced under identical conditions, you only have to type in the first sample and refer to the other ones in the commentary field (for example, treat samples 2 to 10 as above).

After checking your details you can enter additional information for processing your order (e.g. PO number, internal order numbers, building). You are also able to attach reference sequence files, which we ask you to compress in a zip-file if you wish to send more than one at a time. Finally you can decide if you want your results by email, fax or post in addition to the download from your personal account.
After clicking "Send Order" you will receive an order confirmation by email.

3. Results: In this section you can find the results of your previous orders. You receive an email as soon as they are ready for download from your personal account. Results remain in this section for one year and can be reviewed anytime. After this period they will be deleted and a copy saved externally at Sequiserve unless otherwise requested.
